ATEC joining the E-Recycle Drive
ATEC Training & Certification joining the E-Recycle Drive. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Houston, Texas – 5 April 2011. ATEC Training & Certification Services will be making a commitment to joining the drive towards E-Cycling. Electronic Trash, known as e-waste, is piling up in homes and offices all over the US and there is a growing problem as people do not know the best way to dispose of it.

Safety Alert from NOPSA
Hazardous Area Electrical Equipment What happened? An emerging trend identified during NOPSA’s planned inspections of facilities is the range of safety issues relating to electrical equipment in hazardous areas.  Typical safety issues identified include: o Fixed electrical equipment not suitable for the hazardous zone (i.e. not correctly rated). o Corrosion of electrical equipment (e.g. motors, instruments, junction boxes, etc.) potentially compromising the hazardous area rating.

ATEC to Host USNC/IECEx Meeting - Jan 2011
ATEC Training & Certification to Host USNC/IECEx Meeting Houston, Texas ATEC Training & Certification Services will host the U.S. National Committee to the IECEx in January, 2011.  The USNC/IECEx is a committee of industry and standards organizations committed to furthering the IECEx certification scheme, and represents the United States to the IECEx management committee.

ATEC has built a state-of-the-art training facility to service the training needs of various industries.  With our large, comfortable classroom and 12-bay training lab, we currently offer hazardous area training and consultation services.  In the near future we will offer electrical training courses, such as high voltage safety.
